Indomie is an instant noodle brand produced by the global company Indofood Sukses Makmur, which has been around for over 50 years. Today, Indomie is available in over 100 countries and produces more than 5 billion packs daily.
In Egypt, Indomie has been operating for 17 years and employs more than 1,500 workers in its factories. Over 1 million Egyptians enjoy Indomie every day.
Indomie’s journey in the Egyptian market began in 1997, when Trans World was established to import and introduce Indomie to Egypt for the first time, becoming the brand’s exclusive importer in the country.
Following years of remarkable success and growing consumer demand, Salem Wazran Abu Atta was established to locally manufacture Indomie in Egypt. In 2009, the company inaugurated its first production facility in Badr City.
In 2011, a new production line was added, transforming the factory into an export hub serving markets across Africa, Europe, and the Arab region.
As part of our continuous expansion, the Robbiki Factory was established in 2020, further strengthening our production capabilities to meet the growing needs of the local market while supporting our export ambitions.
Today, the company operates 13 production lines and more than 18 branches across Egypt. Supported by a nationwide distribution fleet that reaches every governorate, including remote areas, we are committed to making Indomie accessible to consumers throughout the country.
With a dedicated team of more than 1,500 Egyptian employees, we continue to uphold the highest international quality standards while delivering the great taste that millions of consumers enjoy every day.
Indomie is made using premium-quality wheat flour that undergoes rigorous quality and food safety inspections. Carefully selected ingredients are added during the dough preparation process, all of which are tested in our Quality Assurance laboratories to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
We are committed to using safe, high-quality ingredients that comply with food safety standards, including salt, acidity regulators, guar gum, and riboflavin, to deliver the best quality and taste.
The dough is then shaped, steamed, and fried in palm oil to achieve its distinctive texture as part of the manufacturing process.
Each pack of Indomie comes with a seasoning sachet containing a carefully crafted blend of seasonings and oils, allowing you to enjoy your favorite flavor.
Indomie seasoning is made from a carefully selected blend of dried spices, natural extracts, and safe flavorings. In addition, palm oil is combined with herbs and selected spices to enhance the final taste and deliver the signature Indomie flavor experience.

No, Indomie does not contain any preservatives.
We use airtight packaging that prevents bacteria and germs.
Indomie also contains natural salt levels that act as a preservative. Additionally, the noodles are fully dried during production to eliminate moisture and protect against bacteria
MSG (E621) is an amino acid naturally found in protein-rich foods like meat, vegetables, poultry, and even breast milk.
It is used as a flavor enhancer in many foods like ready-made sauces, spice blends, yeast extracts, biscuits, and ready meals.
MSG is made through a natural fermentation process similar to how soy sauce, vinegar, and yogurt are made.
Scientific studies confirm that MSG is completely safe when consumed in normal quantities
No. When consumed as part of a balanced diet, Indomie does not cause weight gain. An average serving contains approximately 350 calories, while maintaining a healthy weight depends on overall dietary habits and physical activity.
Absolutely not. Indomie is not harmful and does not cause cancer.
If it were harmful, it would not have remained in the Egyptian and global markets for all these years.
